MAYO DRUG & ALCOHOL FAMILY SUPPORT WORKER
Tacú Family Resource Centre Ballinrobe wishes to recruit a Drug &
Alcohol Family Support Project Worker for *
hours per week. The Family Support Project Worker’s role will be to
provide a non-judgemental, confidential support service to people who
have been adversely affected by a family member or friend’s drug or
alcohol use. This service is to be available in areas of need
throughout County Mayo.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
* 3rd level qualification in a related field
* Minimum 2 years’ experience of working with individuals,
families and communities.
* An ability to engage with and support family members in an
empathetic and sensitive manner.
* An understanding of the complexity of addiction and the effects of
this on individuals, families and communities.
* An open and innovative approach to work
* Ability to work independently while also contributing to
collaborative working as part of larger teams/networks
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, IT proficient
* Driver’s license & access to car
Garda vetting is required for this post.
